A fire event in 2003 caused the partial destruction of a sulfur removal unit in this south Louisiana refinery. Because of the past experience of IMTC-MEI in fire rebuild projects, we were chosen to partner with a major U.S. engineering firm in this EPC contract. Engineering began in the fall of 2003 and construction activities began in early 2004. The unit was completed in September 2004.
