IMTC-MEI's Safety Mission Statement

The safety of our employees and our clients’ employees is of paramount importance. Our goal is to provide an accident/incident free work environment. It is our policy to perform work in the safest manner possible, consistent with good construction practices. To fulfill the requirements of this policy an organized and effective safety program will be carried out wherever work is performed.

Message from the President

As President of IMTC-MEI, I am responsible for ensuring that safety is treated with the utmost importance. We plan every job determined to meet our goal of zero accidents and environmental incidents. Every task is audited to eliminate or mitigate every risk associated with performing that specific task. As President, I am committed to providing whatever resources, equipment or tools are needed to do the job safely, without any environmental incidents. Good, safe, quality and environmental practices are an integral part of every employee's job definition. An effective safety and environmental program is put in place before any on-site work is executed. My promise is to provide competent managers and the necessary training programs and tools to complete every project and task in a way that meets or exceeds our clients’ expectations in all areas. President

Zero injuries... Zero misses...Zero environmental incidents...

IMTC-MEI is guided on every project by the motto, "Zero Injuries. Zero Misses. Zero Environmental Incidents." This goal has been established by IMTC-MEI management as a policy to save lives as well as create company pride. This policy has proven to be effective on many different levels throughout our business, resulting in a low number of safety violations and substantial savings by clients. The following are ways IMTC-MEI has approached and maintained its goal. See the chart below for a glimpse of IMTC-MEI's safety history.

Safety programs

First, a job done safely is a job done well. A job done steady and safely is more likely to be a job done correctly. Taking the time needed to double check our equipment, make sure we have everything we need in order to meet our goals and review the safety concerns on jobsites gives IMTC-MEI the ability to correct problems on the jobsite before they arise. IMTC-MEI saves lives and in the process, saves the customer money. Without the time lost due to safety incidents and violations, IMTC-MEI is able to save the customer time and money. IMTC-MEI has carried on certain traditions in an effort to install safety in the lives of our employees. Safety Orientations, safety talks, incentives, corrective procedures, evaluations, detailed planning are some ways that IMTC-MEI makes the effort to ensure safety. For a more detailed understanding of our safety programs, please contact us.

Communication

As mentioned above, IMTC-MEI continues to uphold certain safety traditions. Communication is a common theme in almost all of our programs.

Communication throughout our employees in crucial to the success of IMTC-MEI's Safety Programs, as well as to the success of the job. IMTC-MEI expects and teaches its employees to communicate to one another in order to encourage and inform fellow employees of the proper safety techniques.

Also, IMTC-MEI realizes communication with the client is of the utmost importance. In order to effectively provide our employees with the information needed to accomplish our goals, IMTC-MEI needs to have an open line of communication with the customer.

Management

IMTC-MEI is responsible for setting the example when it comes to safety. IMTC-MEI has developed a Safety Department it believes is the best in the business. Everyday, IMTC-MEI tries to find ways of making it better. The Safety Department searches for new safety procedures, installs traditional safety practices, and understands the necessity of a safe jobsite. To talk to the Safety Department, please contact us.
